Not long ago I was helping my mother clean out her storage shed. While cleaning it out I found my old comic book collection from my childhood. Naturally, I took the collection home and went through it. It reignited many memories. It eventually led me to become a collector as an adult. That was two years ago. I’ve learned a lot about the world of comic book collectiing in this day and age. So I thought to myself, -why not write a blog.

I created this blog because I want to educate novice collectors.. I’m going to share what I’ve learned thus far about being a collector. We’ll start with some basics, like the CGC, and the role they play in the lives of collectors. We’ll talk about grading. I will cover common mistakes made by collectors, getting your books graded, auctions, buying and selling, and I will also share my speculation of which comic books will be of high value in the future. But even more importantly,  I hope that you find this blog helpful. I want your hobby as a collector to be far less painstaking and confusing than mine was. My name is Chris Rivera. I am an LA based comic book collector – and this is my blog.
